In production from 1986 to 1995, the Jeep YJ is the first generation of the Jeep Wrangler series. It succeeds the earlier Jeep CJ (Civilian Jeep) models. Its introduction took the Jeep world by storm due to the model’s fresh new look, including its distinctive square headlights which replaced the traditional round ones, modern appeal, creature comforts, and overall reliability as an SUV for off-roading and everyday use.
