This remanufactured Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler 3.8L (EGH) engine includes the following enhancements from Fraser Engines:

  • Bore and hone all cylinders to OEM clearances (We check all clearances within .0001 of inch),
  • Decking cylinder head(s) and block for straightness,
  • Cutting valve seats and valves to proper degree,
  • Line boring/honing crankshaft/camshaft tunnels,
  • Ground & polish crankshaft, new or remanufactured camshaft(s),
  • New main bearings, rod bearings, pistons, piston rings, lifters, pushrods (if equipped), timing components, oil pump, head bolts,
  • All new internal gaskets and seals.
  • All finishing gaskets are included (MAY VARY PER APPLICATION).

The Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler 3.8L (EGH) is a V6 engine that was manufactured for use in various vehicles from the Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler brands.

The base engine consists of:

An all-aluminum engine block and cylinder head
Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC)
Electronic Throttle Control (ETC)
Sequential multi-port fuel injection

The engine specifications include:

  • A displacement of 230.5 cubic inches (3,778 cubic centimeters)
  • 3.78 in x 3.43 in (96 mm x 87 mm) cylinder bore and piston stroke
  • 9.6:1 compression ratio
  • 197 to 202 horsepower (147 to 151 kW) at 5,000 rpm

The Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler 3.8L engine was first introduced in 2007 and was used in various models such as the Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, and Jeep Wrangler. The engine features an all-aluminum design for reduced weight and improved efficiency. Additionally, the engine's electronic throttle control allows for improved response and smoother acceleration. With a displacement of 230.5 cubic inches and a compression ratio of 9.6:1, this engine delivers 197 to 202 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 230 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm.
